Composition:
Description: Tonicard is a product of SBL’s Research & Development, a dependable cardiac tonic, provides natural cardioglycosides and thus tones up heart muscles, improves coronary and peripheral circulation, relieves breathlessness, palpitation, tachycardia and halts the pace of arteriosclerosis. Tonicard improves overall physiological functions of cardiovascular system. Tonicard is a clinically proven adjunct to allopathic cardiac treatment. Indications: Angina pectoris, arrhythmia, palpitation, breathlessness, sinking of heart, weak pulse. Clinical trial: A clinical trial was conducted by Dr. B. Chakraborty in cases of Angina, Coronary Artery Disease and Post MI, at Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi in 56 patients. Tonicard was given as an adjuct to cardiac treatment and patients were allowed to continue their allopathic drugs. At the end of study Dr. B. Chakraborty stated: “All patients who took Tonicard as an adjunct to cardiac therapies improved noticeably” Dr. B. Chakraborty, MD, F.R.S.H. (London), senior cardiac physician, Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi. Another double blind placebo controlled trial in cases of Coronary Artery Disease and Cardiac Neurosis, was conducted by Dr. (Col.) P.K. Ghosh, in 100 patients at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. At the end of study it was found that Tonicard can be given safely in addition to allopathic drugs and its effect is additive.
